COBE Intelligence translates workplace research into a clearer view of organisational risk, its drivers and the decisions leaders need to make next.
Workforce risk accumulates long before resignation, sickness absence or formal grievance makes it visible.
Organisations often hold substantial people data while still struggling to explain why capable employees disengage, stall, burn out or leave.
COBE Intelligence brings fragmented signals together. We examine the conditions underneath the headline metrics, then help leaders decide what deserves attention first.
The work began with the Cost of Black Excellence Research Project and a specific question: what is the cumulative cost of having to perform, protect, prove and progress under racialised workplace pressure?
The research identified recurring patterns across performance pressure, identity management, psychological safety, health and retention. COBE Intelligence exists to translate those patterns into organisational questions leaders are able to examine, measure and address.
We show organisations where workforce risk is accumulating, what is driving it and what leaders need to address first.
A stronger standard for evidence-led workplace decisions.
Our ambition is to help organisations move beyond broad commitments and generic interventions towards diagnosis, prioritisation and measurable change.
COBE Intelligence is being built as an organisational intelligence system: connecting workforce signals, the Excellence Tax™, health and retention risk, leadership decisions and action.

Natasha Williams is an independent researcher and workplace wellbeing strategist whose work focuses on racialised workplace stress, organisational risk, psychological safety, health and retention.
She leads the Cost of Black Excellence Research Project, the research programme from which the Excellence Tax™ framework and COBE Intelligence have developed. Her work brings together quantitative findings, lived experience, organisational analysis and practical leadership application.
Her background spans business psychology, the built environment, leadership and organisational practice. COBE Intelligence reflects one consistent principle: workplace harm should not be reduced to an individual resilience problem when the conditions producing the pressure sit within organisational systems.
The COBE Intelligence Model connects the employee experience to organisational risk through a structured interpretation pathway.
COBE Intelligence is developing a wider team around research translation, professional experience and organisational practice.
